Review: Bio-essence Tri-action Aqua Boost

I am neither a fan of Linda Chung nor the brand user (In fact, I sorta despised it .. ) Anyway, I somehow managed to grab a sample pack of Bio-essence Tri-action Aqua Boost and now, I despise Bio-essence no more =)

Despite the itchiness on both sides of my face solely caused by the mask which woke me up in the wee hours of morning, this sleeping mask has managed to do wonders on my sensitive skin (Os'lee y'd better watch out!). My Saturday morning was greeted by a truly bright skin, fully-hydrated and glowing like no other time and it lasts throughout the day (right until current moment!) Of cause, there's no new zit as an outcome of using this mask.

One shortcoming - the scent. It was very artificial albeit nice.
And the scent didn't help me to go straight into dreamland.

And the sample pack was also way too tiny!! I could have shared it with someone if it comes with bigger portion and who knows, Bio-essence might even gain a new customer due to this!

So, I still sounded a bit prejudice huh?

Review: O'slee Roseship Peeling Gel

Saying is that people with sensitive skin shouldn't use scrubs or peeling gel, in prevention of further irritation of the already-sensitive skin. I, for one, opine that this view is of total absurdity. As a matter of fact, occasional usage improves my skin condition and reduces its sensitivity. Perhaps, my sensitive skin works best with O'slee Roseship Peeling Gel.

The way I took the pic looks familiar huh? O rite, I imitated this course mate S of mine XD
Dead-skin removal price: Rm49.90 @ Guardian

My Love:
Just like all other Os'lee products, I am deeply in love with the faint roseship scent.(J'adore j'adore j'adore!)

My Journey:
Though not seeing eye to eye with the above saying, I'm also taking extra precaution by using the peeling gel once every 2 weeks on T-zone & my nose + once every month on my entire face., prior using a mask. It has never failed to get rid of the blackheads on my nose + a thin layer of dead-skin (or more PROFESSIONALLY - my cuticles >.<). And instantly, my skin turns brighter. And and and there's no new pop-outs on the next day!!! =)

Its gel-like texture coupled with the scent of peace and joy!
My choice:
Since I don't enjoy changing skincare from time to time, I would seriously consider a repurchase when it runs out. [It won't for another few months at least as only minimal quantity is needed to satisfy my needs =)]

Gay Pride Rally

Today has marked the final Jurisprudence class of my life. It has always been the lecturer 's habit of quoting gay marriages in the UK as an example of hundreds of thousands of legal theories. Everytime he mentioned about how the homosexuals demonstrate publicly in the street, these vivid scene would pop out of no where....

Yeah right, I happened to be in London on 3 July 2010 and was awed by their stunning outfits! It was the 40th Anniversary of Gay Liberation in UK..

At first, I thought it was apocalypse. LOL (I had slipped my mind on the existence of this glorious event then)

So, it turned out to be a parade. Even gay is liberalized, the Brits were still demanding for a change of better law.. And that was the purest reason why I chose to read law... (Mind y'all, I ain't a gay in whatsoever aspect!)

And now I kinda agree that studying law in UK does have its perks!

Penang Property Reviews

On the verge of becoming a working adult, I realized that conversation between me n my peeps is no longer surrounding A from SXI has a crush on B our classmate, or C has betrayed D. We now talk about profound issues, we now talk about PROPERTY. Penang Property to be actual.

Thanks to UUM, I learned that goods depreciate. Thanks to newspapers, I learned that property does not depreciate, especially so in Georgetown. Thanks to Microeconomics , I learned that property in Penang is getting expensive due to scarcity of land. And thanks to PropWall Penang, I learned about my dream house.

As organized as it is, this Malaysian property webbie allows prospective customers (or even passerby like me) to look for property in accordance with our location, categorical or alphabetical preferences and most-wanted properties on the site.It is so well-designed that people could enjoy browsing each and every property without feeling tensed.
.
So, my dream house is situated in Moonlight Bay, Batu Feringgi. Smashing, isn't it?
Upon clicking the link of palace of my dream, I was further shocked by the meticulous and detailed description of this property e.g. it's developed by Ivory Properties Group and it is a freehold property, as well as the facilities attached e.g. house lift & hill top landscape garden. The killer factor of this webbie would be the honest analysis done on my dream house.

While indulging in every little details of my dream house, I discovered that some similar properties are displayed on the side bar, which is definitely a convenience for serious house buyers. For those who seek for good deals, they just need to enter their e-mail and the next thing they know would be owning a house in the Pearl of Orient. This webbie even owns a Facebook account so that passerby like me can be kept updated (as I'd be a buyer someday =>)

Just a reminder to myself, a dream house would not always be a dream.

Ada Tulis Nama ke?

Hit by an abrupt durian crave, I went to Gajah Jatuh town to satisfy my desire. Upon boarding the bus to return to my hostel, I saw an empty seat and walked swiftly towards it. While I was adjusting my skirt after sitting down .....

Another Undergraduate of 3rd-class mentality: Cik, sini ada orang duduk la! (She was keeping the place for her friend)

Me: Ya ke? Ada tulis nama ke? (I looked around searching for the name..lol)

Another Undergraduate of 3-rd class mentality: Erm... tak de la.. Kau duduk depan je la (While pointing to the almost-filled-up seats at the front)

Me: .................. (WTF!!!!!!!!)

I'm in Malaysia Book of Records, don play play^^

Tataz to carefree March and hello frantic April! Despite my theoretically-stuffed-agenda, I managed to slot in UUM Ponggal Fest on this morning =) [okay la, I sort of backed up last nite. But, I don't make empty promises!!]

My tender-age roomie+me in Punjabi-suit+stunning Veron

My fantasies about Ponggal Fest:
A long list of Hindu rituals dominated by fellow Indians coupled with several traditional performances.

The Reality-checks:
1) Hindu Rituals
There was.
Hazy Tapak Ekspo

But was cut to the minimal. The only ritual we did was cooking some mixture of sweet rice with raisins, i.e. Pongal, (kind of reminds me of Nando's) in a brand new ceramic pot using milk until they were boiled over. ON FIREWOOD not gas stove! And it's a way to praise the God (stand to be corrected). And for someone who yet to know how to cook, I truly enjoyed the ride to make fire & looking for ways to get the Pongal boiled over! The keywords were PATIENCE & HEAT!

Ponggal Ponggal!
2) Dominated by Fellow Indians
Indeed it is. But rest assured, Chinese was abundant. Some Malays were spotted too (And I'm sure they are not less religious). The 1Malaysia spirit was certainly there!

3) Traditional Performances
J'adore! But sadly I didn't see any during my presence there.

4) Hannah
We had our 1st hannahs as well! We were told that this is usually done on the bride during Indian Wedding Feast and it can last for 1 week!

They r super duper chun! Feel like showing off to the whole world.
(Damn, I looked fat...or I am fat?)

Ponggal Fest Aftermath: (i like the word "aftermath" alot!)
No remorse spending my entire morning under the sizzling hot sun. Greatest appreciation to Veron for bringing me along (though she's the one who BENEFITED the best...hehehe)and Shalini for helping me with the suit! And most important of all, my name is now on the Malaysia Book of Records!! (cooking the most Ponggal in Malaysia i guess) All the sweats r worthwhile and I think I'm now eligible to take part in the next season Survivor Show!

A Blind Date

Unplanned, unprepared and unpredictable - it was inevitably a date.. a blind one in fact. =) As a lone eagle, it's my habit of having lunch alone before classes on Wednesdays. Today was D-day.

He just appeared in front of my table out of no where. My guess is that he has been quietly observing me from far for the past few weeks. He sat down across me, without the simple courtesy of asking for my permission. How rude he is, I thought. And undeniably, he isn't entirely bad looking. =)

And he started mumbling incessantly. Ignoring him, I continued with my private enjoyment of lunch. Slightly disturbed yet managed to capture his handsome look. Just scroll down!

Review: Organic Face Rosewater Toner from Boots Botanics

While most of my Chinese course mates just set foot in their dorms after a fulfilling 2D1N Hatyai trip, a bankrupt law student like me can only nail in front of lappie doing review on Organic Face Rosewater Toner, a victor I claimed from Boots Lee Garden, Hatyai : ( Pathetic, aren't me? No, of cause, I am writing the review for the sake for public good, you know, those who succumb to words of mouth in the cyber forum : )

Enough of the crap, this is another toner I would call a gem.
Original Price: 280 bahts for 150ml
After 70% off: 84 bahts (which is a mere RM8.40!!!)
Indeed it is a water. Faintly rose scented (How I adore it!Oslee aftermath I guess), I apply it every morning after cleansing my face. Since I massage it on my face using bare hands but not a cotton pad(coz I missed the damn English instruction covered by the Thai instruction), sticky dirt leftover can still miraculously be cleansed(and gummed on my palms.. yuckie).

And it is made in UK(i.e. equivalent to QUALITY :>)
Its impact on a lady with combination skin(yeah.. upgraded from sensitive to sensitive+pimples skin) was powerful. My skin is always supple, less oily, my pores become tinier, brighter skin tone and definitely lesser pop-outs! Yes to repurchase but at the moment, I have something else on my mind. Till then XOXO

Scrubs: The Sitcom & The Reality

Visiting a clinic always reminds me of "Scrubs" the sitcom, n more recently - "The Private Practice"(I am a goner, I know). No matter how hard I pray, the experience is always the opposite from that on the TV screen. Today, for one.
Pic proudly stolen from d-empire.org
The idiot box portrays: A pleasant looking receptionist talking on a telephone would ask the person on the line to hang on and courteously greet the patient. Some nurses walk swiftly by the reception.
Today's reality check: Escorted by the dazzling hot sun, I walked toward the counter and the exhausted-looking-due-to-constant-sitting-and-gossiping-in-the-counter-since-early-morning receptionist instructed me to a board saying "Counter will be reopen at 2pm".It was 3.20pm then. So, I was further instructed to another signboard written " Thursday: 8am to 3.15pm."

The idiot box portrays: When you need them, they'll be there for you. When someone in hysteria or in labor appears in the lounge of a hospital, all the surgeons, doctors, nurses, cleaners and receptionist would rush here n there & to get the someone into emergency room or whatsoever they call.
Today's reality check: After minutes of incessant complaint, the receptionist said I could go the Emergency Unit. I wasn't in trance or in labour of cause. And there were 10 students waiting patiently. No staffs were within my vicinity until I found the room. It was another long 20-minutes before my turn to be diagnosed - not by a doctor by an assistant doctor who read medicine for a sheer 3-years (according to the "assistant doctor"=.=''').

Anyway, I only had a swollen eye. And was given so many types of medicine. And even a packet of KK. >.<
The 1st question I was asked at the counter was: why is ur eye swollen? And I was glad, for a moment, that I was not on a death bed, for the PROFESSIONALS in PKU could hardly render any assistance but only asking myself to diagnose what's da cause of my swollen eyes.

Of cause you would say: A clinic is not a hospital. : )
