My First Time

O rite o rite, it wasn't my VERY VERY first time. But I do consider it as a nouvelle beginning .. =)

Well, today I experimented a light/ naked make  (or over) for an interview session. For beauty is one of my priorities.=)  Some people considered it a big failure but I thought I was successful. Anyway, I strongly believe that this post is gonna contribute to the make-up industry of Malaysia or even world wide as this would serve as a simple guide for make up beginners (kononnya .... haha!)

For your info once again, I am of super sensitive skin, Estee Lauder products suit me to the max I know but they would have to wait for another year at least before I become their regular customer. I am broke, remember? Anyway, ZA make up products do good jobs on my skin in the meantime.

First step for make up, SKINCARE! Next, today all the products I had were ZA Concealer Perfection, ZA 2-way hyaluronic acid foundation with SPF, and a SilkyGirl Moisture Rich Lipstick(24 Pure).

Look at the heart broken pale pigmented acne face of mine before make up without edit. (haiz)

After applying the concealer on my acne n scars spot and little bit under my dark circles,  I applied the ZA two way foundation. And lastly, lipstick was applied. Get it, why I called this a naked make up?

Warning: You gonna see transformation albeit little(without edit as well). haha!

Thereafter, I am gonna experiment with fiercer make ups next holiday. Lastly, I am not ashamed to tell that I don't wear any make-up right until I am 2* years old now. hahahaah

Solicitor's Liabilty

Reviewing "Solicitor's Liability [1996] 1 CLJ xlvii by Dr Hussain Abd Rahman Al Amudi", it can be concluded that lawyers in Malaysia enjoy no professional immunity. They can be sued for negligence under law of tort due to contractual obligation. So are solicitors and barristers in the United Kingdom.

A Flight with Air Asia X : KL - STN

30 June 2010 @ 12.30pm - I boarded AAX to London without any complication. It was my second time flying with Air Asia (there'll be more to come I predict). Excited as I was, the flight was actually fulled of foreigners (Hey man, the foreigners from first class countries were more than willing to choose AAX instead of Qatar Airways, Emirates and the list goes on, I was so very proud to be a Malaysian then n there!)

OVERALL
The flight was acceptable. I surely did get what I paid =). Not to the enjoyable extend though. I had never spent 13 + hours on an airplane as far as I can recall. There was no entertainment unless I am willing to pay more, which I didn't of cause - as a backpacker. Chatters with the British lady who lives in Australia and the Malaysian who has a daughter reading medicine Edinburgh, had definitely made my flight more interesting. And so was the Russian who is doing Law in Westminster University. We had great academic discussion on Donoghue v Stevenson!! Didn't suffer backache as I was young, strong and fulled of excitement! Neck ache though =).

VEGETARIAN & INTERNATIONAL MEALS

I pre-booked my meals due to kiasu-ism =) which I did not regret much afterwards. I have forgotten the price, but they were worthwhile as I remember.

KL-STN: I bought 2 bottles of mineral water to avoid dehydration to the detriment of my skin. 1 bottle was attached with my pre-booked XX Pasta. I have forgotten what pasta was it. The pasta was okay but the side dish sucked. I bought Marigold Orange Juice with RM6, Famous Amos Cookies RM5, Potato Crisps RM4 later to sate my hunger because skipping the side dishes. Couldn't believe I actually spent that much on food then. The British lady took ONLY pasta throughout the 13 hours!

STN-KL: The flight was shorter than the one to London.
I was served with a pre-booked Roasted Chicken. It was actually delicious. It was during the second half of the flight that I realized we would be served two meals on flights to London or vice versa for pre-booked meals. I got my Chicken Cottage Pie but I gave it to a Malay lady because I was so pissed off that I missed a meal on my first flight to London Stansted =.=

The Stewards & Stewardess
The female crews were well-groomed, polite but not too attentive. So, were the male crews. Compared to the local flights, steward & stewardess were actually more attentive. All in all, it is sufficient as all of them are good looking : )

The Berlin Wall

It is now 12.10a.m. and I couldn't sleep yet. So, I guess updating my blog could be a wiser move instead of laying on my bed staring into the ceiling.

This picture was taken in the"Ripley's Believe or Not?"warehouse in the heavenly London during my Depressing Trip.

Once, this was a part of the ubiquitous Berlin Wall of German. Since Dr. Ahmad Masum's mentioning about the East German Bodyguard case of the other day, whereby the people who crossed Berlin Wall was authorized to be killed by the Nazi Regime, this picture had never quit popping out from my mind.

It might be a positive sign that I should read more about this wall. Or better still, it could be related to my final examination on Jurisprudence subject. =) Naive me . . .

A Review on My Hubby Nixoderm

People, I haven't found a new man yet. This is just my favourite primples cream of 7-months . The Nixoderm. :-@

Got to know it from a blog and due its price factor(plus its effectiveness I got to know from forums), I immediately bought it from Guardian Pacific Komtar during my homecoming and have since, fallen madly in love with it. The Nixoderm sounds expensive .. but it isn't .. it costs only RM4.90. =,=

For your information, I have a sensitive face. :-( and that's not the entire story. My forehead and T-zone are of oily and pimples-prone nature. and the sensitive zone is also pimples prone .. at times (oh how i loathe them!!!)
Despite the burning sensation my my pimples when I apply the cream on my face(to which I really enjoy^^), The Nixoderm actually does miracles on my pimples. My pimples usually fades within 2-3 days by applying the cream on the same spots for the periods. Most important of all, the cream does no damage to the ever sensitive areas of my face with thin skin.

The 2 downsides: the indescribable odour and washing it in the morning requires a great effort. but no worries, my Clinelle Deep Cleansing gel is still doing a good job. : )

All in all, a very pratical product recommended by me n my roomie : ) i think because of the sulphate ingredients in it, it is functioning well in killing germs on my pimples instead of triggering them and hence, no effect on my sensitive zone.

As a bonus, it can clear blackhead. to which I have never tried .. haha

SUNPLAY SPF 65

Got this tiny sunblock from UUM Kachi Mall when I went to the Lost World, Tambun last year. 3 weeks ago, again, I accidentally bumped into it in a convenient shop after clubbing in Langkawi. I know I am dark .. but dark person deserves to be protected from scary UVA and UVB too!! =.=

Do ignore the Evidence 1950 Act behind ( hehe... )

This tiny bottle sunblock of 6g of RM5.90(or RM4.90 ??unsure) worth all the price I paid : ) Kecil kecil cili padi!!

I managed to apply 4-5 layers evenly on my face, my back, both hands and legs in Tambun. The Langkawi one was lesser .. may be it had been placed in the shop for quite some time then =.=

The outcome: I din't become darker(as in overall) after the Tambun trip, maintain to be actual .. probably due to SPF 65 lo ... and no comment for the Langkawi one as I only applied during island-hopping on the third day = ) and of coz I din't get cancer .. LOL
The scent: Lovely !! thickly scented ... but never over-scented ..
The sensation: Cooling as it contains alcohol (anything doesn't??) and neither sticky nor oily at all
My SENSITIVE face: no new pop-outs ad far as I can remember ... hence, it is suitable for ultra-sensitive skin
Re-purchase: I will if I need it again ..n ofcoz I will need it again during my Bali Backpacking soon =)

Clinelle Deep Cleansing Gel - An Honest Review

After working as a BA for Hada Labo skincare during Nov & Dec 2010, I have finally grown up to be a lady who adores myself more than anyone else. :-)

This is THE time of the year again, THE time to pamper my skin with a new cleanser. P/S: My delicate skin is of ultra sensitive cum oily on my T zone.

My target:
Y am I attracted to it?
During my Hada Labo era, I have erm... 'SNATCHED' some of the customers from this brand. Some bought Hada Labo, and most of their customers insisted on Clinelle. I was and am still amazed at how easily this product can be sold without the assistance of an BA (most of the time la). It was also sold out in Watsons and Gurdian in Jitra and Gurney Plaza. >,<

What research have I done?
I am very particular be trying new products. First of all, I added Clinelle fan club in Facebook. Posted my query there. And read through the comments. The BA during my Hada Labo era assured me that it is dermatologically tested (heck, I dint even what was this then)
I also googled it. And impressed as I was, I couldn't find a SINGLE negative comment on it. I have made up my mind. (hehe)

How much did it cost?
RM28+(after 15% discount). Bought it from a pharmacy in Gurney Plaza.

Is it imported?
Indeed. De la France.

Packaging:
Simple. I have known that good things usually come in simple packages.

After-use Comments:
I am ........ utterly undisappointed. I got what I saw( quoted from Abdul Ghani Patail).
It smells of Citric (kinda reminds me of a Dermalogica cleansing gel). Very light smell. Soothing and not too strong.
With just a 20 cent squeeze on my palm, it clears away all the dirt from my face.
I bet it is mild as I couldn't see any redness on the sensitive areas of my face. I don't feel tight at all. In fact, I could see and feel that my face is definitely cleaner.
After 1 week test, there is no sudden pop-outs from my face.

All in all, this is indeeeed a must-try for people with sensitive skin. My next mission: to find out if this can function well to clean away make-ups and I am on the verge of looking for an affordable but healthy make-up removers!

Shortbread & I

SHORTBREAD - a tempting word Auntie Lin murmured to me one evening when I did part-time for Lewre shoes in Parkson in June 2009 . As curious as a cat, I urged Auntie Lin (a vivid pastry-lover exactly like me) to tell me how a short bread looks like. Buttery, 7cm long stick, not too thick and most-deliciously tasted after a short toast in the oven & lastly again... extremely buttery. Originated from the Britain, a packet of shortbread costs from RM5.50 onwards. Auntie Lin strongly recommended the Mc Vites' brand, and added that the box is red in colour, surrounded by black squares (like the Scottish skirt - Yahoo Answer says it is a Kilt)

Without due hesitation, I went to the Cold Storage on the ground floor during my rest time to grab myself a pack of scrumptious shortbread. Yet, I found no Mc Vities'. Adversely, I saw a box as described by Auntie Lin.
Similar, aren't they?

RM13 for 10 sticks but not RM5.50 I remember. As expensive as it is, I bought it because I have made up my mind to grab one no matter what. It was actually of the brand of Walker's. It tastes totally like what Auntie said. I would like to add that in fact, it is the best butter cookie a man could ask for. Crunchy and unstoppable. Once u start devouring, u would not be able to stop eating.High in calories but 1 sercing is enough to cure hours of hunger.Heated in oven is even nicer as the buttery taste continuously flow into your mouth and nostril. (I don't always do that due to the weather in Penang) Mom hates it and Sis absolutely loves it!

Since then I have tried a local brand short bread (cheap, good effort but Yucks), Tesco shortbread (locally attainable, affordable and most importantly, delicious - a bit sweet though), Mc Vities' shortbread of cause (too hard for me and the taste is a bit ... erm... hehe .... but its the cheapest in the market minus the local brand I mentioned). Recently, Jack bought me a Marks & Spencer's short bread with Belgium chocolate from UK and I think it was delicious yet a bit soft. Lagi recently, he sent me 3 extra packets of Dean's Scottish Edinburgh shortbread. The coconut and Belgium chocolate were so so. However, the original Luxury All Butter shortbread is highly recommended. One of the best I have ever tried. Not just buttery as it should, but as moderately-soft and easily swallowed. I am just loving it!

Love it love it love it. And I also just found out that shortbread plays an important role in UK. For instance, the hotel would serve shortbread as a welcoming and shortbread is part of a lunch packet there. How unlucky I am not be able to live in UK. Or else, my 3 meals would be none other than different brands of shortbread : ). My resolution: To try as many different brands of shortbread as possible in my June UK trip . Just a little reminder, it is advisable to drink gallons of water after eating shortbread.

Mamma mia~

Listening to 'Voulez-vous' , one of the many fabulous tracks from 'Mamma Mia the Movie', I am totally impressed by the 1hour+ movie (merci to sis!). Those who haven't caught it shall either drive directly to the nearest cineplexes, or buy a ... DVD (ha ha) or download it from somewhere else.. because this is one hell of WORTH- watching movie .. simply loving it!

Some lame excuses which could easily be rebutted as followed:

Jerk:Oldies - they are so not my thingy ..
Me: O Pleaseeeeee, u would fall in love with ABBA... the oldies are nothing but terrific!

Jerk:Only my mom and dad adore Broadway movies
Me: What, am I aged your mom and dad? ofcause they would, and YOU would be as thrilled as they are, basically

Jerk:'House Bunny' perfectly suited me, I am so so into social and fashion thingy : )
Me: I bet you are! 'Mamma Mia' combines all the latest Bohemian accessories with naked make-ups to gladiator sandals (what Veron calls it) ... they are true-true fashionistas!

Jerk: Too many songs and storyline-deprived is a no-no!!!
Me: With all the great songs, rest assured that it has one of the sweetest script I have ever seen

Jerk: Its expensive!
Me: Go on movie day, borrow your cousin's student card, go before 11am, download it, steal it-there's always a way out...

Well, I really, utterly dont see any reason one refuses to watch it. It even has enchanting scenery of an I-dont-know-what-izzit-called island, hot dudes and exotic lasses, and some good french as bonuses. Once again, love it!
